School Supply Produces Amazing Results

The Lakemont Neighborhood at South Haven challenged the other neighborhoods to a school supply drive.  The residents, their families and staff brought many items in.  When the items were counted 1,105 items had been donated!  The Reliance Neighborhood won the challenge with the largest number of items donated.  The items were delivered to the Youth Services of Saunders County.  Youth Services will distribute them to children in the county.  Kathleen Barnes of Youth Services, who was overwhelmed at amount of items, said “Due to the extreme generosity of staff and residents we now have more supplies to distribute!”   What a great way to show stewardship, community involvement and serving!
